Mrs. Scriven: "Always find a reason to smile"
Keisha Scriven is one of West Florence High School’s newest assistant principals. This is her 14th year in education. She hopes to bring anything that is needed to make WF better and to improve the high school experience for students.
Scriven said became an assistant principal because she enjoys helping people so she thought that if she moved up in leadership she could impact the school and not just one class.
Scriven has attended three different colleges: University of South Carolina,Walden University, and Clemson University. Clemson has been her favorite college because they offered her the most money to go and it has an amazing campus that's secluded from lots of distractions.
Scriven said at Clemson it was her “first time being a student that didn't want to leave school.”
Scriven is the middle child to two other siblings; she’s married and has a 2 year old daughter. She encourages her daughter to be honest, fear God and her parents, and always find a reason to smile.
So what does Scriven do in her free time? She said half jokingly, “What is free time?”
However, if she gets some time to herself, she watches Netflix and tries to spend time with family and friends. She loves to snack on chocolate and fried oysters. A quote from Scriven is: “Just do it.”
