Toney: positive female role model
Jacqueline Toney is a new female security guard at West Florence High School. Toney believes that being a female in the law enforcement field allows her be viewed as a positive role model and kind of masculine.
Toney comes from a loving, family-oriented, well structured, and supportive family. Some values her dad taught her while growing up were how to be strong and always hold your head up high.
In Toney’s free time she enjoys listening to jazz music and going to the lake. Toney is more of a night person then a morning person because she gets to catch all of the late night action.
So what would her response be to an unauthorized person on WF campus?
“I’d approach the person to find out why they’re here; if they pose as a threat I would still see what’s wrong according to their response," she said.
Toney defines herself as a positive person,
a good listener, and a good friend. A favorite saying of hers is: “Treat others the way you want to be treated.”
