Aubry Amerson: testing coordinator extraordinaire!

Aubry Amerson is the new testing coordinator at West Florence High School. She has obligations to analyze data and works with the schools' administrations and faculty in understanding assessment data in order to generate effective responses to the school’s or students' needs.

As long as she has been working at West Florence, Amerson has not had any problems because she thinks the communication in West Florence has been good.

“The people been very helpful and nice so far. The media center is also friendly and helpful with the technology,” she said.

Amerson thinks West Florence is a great school, though it is really different from the previous school she worked in before.

“There are lots of differences which is very good in many ways and is amazing,” she said.

Amerson said she likes her job very much.

“I do a lot of things and I can learn many things from my job; that is why I love it and I could never imagined that I will be bored with it,” she said.

This relates to a a way she has of looking at life. Everything has a good side and a bad side. Take the good side as a precious thing and take the bad side as a lesson to be better.

Amerson explained that if one wants to be a testing coordinator, one has to be a certified teacher.

“If they like you, you might be selected,” she said.

Amerson has been married for almost four years and she has a son. Her family is very happy and harmonious. Every morning she cooks for her husband and her son, then after school she often hang outs with her family.

In her spare time Amerson’s family usually plays with the baby, hangs out, visits their family or goes to the fun places, like the zoo. She says having a family time is a great way to get along well with one’s family.

“One word that describe my family is funny. We are always laughing, trying to get along each other and having a great time. I love my family,” she said.
