Alex Lewis leads study hall

One of West Florence’s newest additions this 2018-2019 school year is a new study hall teacher, Mr. Alex Lewis.

Lewis is new to West Florence High this year, but has lived in Florence all of his life. He attended Florence-Darlington Technical College and majored in Education.

Study hall is a large room full of kids from different grades, so there is bound to be some difficulty controlling all of them. Lewis says the hardest part about teaching study hall is, “keeping them entertained and doing their work.”

Lewis is very passionate about his job, and he’s also very passionate about travelling. He has been to Puerto Morelos and Puerto Rico.

If students see Lewis around West Florence this year, they should make sure to give him a warm welcome!
