Anderson, Chemistry teacher, excited to inspire students

Thomas Anderson is a new chemistry teacher at here West Florence High School. He chose this profession because he had really good chemistry teacher in high school and saw the difference a good teacher can make. Five years from now he wants to be here still teaching and impacting kids.

Having a daughter himself, Anderson understand how to engage students.

Seeing students understand chemistry and growing to enjoy chemistry motivates Mr. Anderson. Like most teachers,he usually works 40+ hours a week. His mentor is Trula Rosa; she is a good friend, she has a lot of life experience , and she has been teaching for about 30 years. She has three children and she gives a lot of good advice.

Anderson loves the ESPN website. He really likes sports. He enjoys this website because he can find scores and know what happening in different sports.

If he were in a Microsoft Office program, which one he would be?

“It would be Microsoft Excel . Because it is good for data and different solutions,” said Mr. Anderson.

He is really excited to be here and is looking forward to teaching here and inspiring students.
