Ivery happy to be coaching and teaching at WF
“Failure is not an option” This was said by Braxton Ivery, one of the newest teachers at West Florence, but get this: he is also a football coach!
Ivery played college football for Newberry from 2012-2016 and this is his first year both teaching and coaching. He was grateful when the opportunity to coach at West was given because it gave him the chance to start his coaching career.
So far, Ivery said West has treated him well. He enjoys being here. In addition to coaching, he is also the Apex instructor. In his free time he enjoys doing anything sports related.
Although Ivery is a Newberry college graduate, his favorite big college team to root for is the Georgia Bulldogs. In the NFL, his favorite team is the Atlanta Falcons. He prefers summer over winter because he doesn’t like to be cold. A pet peeve of his would be when people don't pay attention to the little things.
“The little things always matter,” he said.
Ivery's mom plays a big role in his life because she's the only parent he has. If you see Mr.Ivery around be sure to give him a WF hello!
