McGee always here for students
Do you have any problems with your health? Do you need a band-aid or a friendly ear? Don’t worry because there’s a new school nurse at West Florence who will help you anytime!
Cristen McGee is originally is from Marion, South Carolina and studied nursing at Francis Marion University. She has been working as a nurse for about 10 years.
She enjoys her work at school
“It is a new aspect of nursing for me. I love taking care of small children and teenagers,” she said.
Outside of nursing, McGee has many interests and hobbies. She spends her free time with husband in the park, playing with her cousins, watching football games and making flowers for weddings.
She loves being a nurse, even with all its ups and downs.
“I am proud of my job. It can be stressful because you always have to make sure you do your best for the students, since you are responsible for their health,” she said.
Message to all WFHS students by McGee: “Take care of yourself. If you have any medical questions, never be afraid to come and ask me; my doors are always open for you.”
