Coleman to students of WF: create goals, use your resources
Born in Miami, FL, new Assistant Principal Christopher Coleman came to work at WF after his wife got a job at McLeod Hospital working with anesthesia. His job here at WF has served the purpose of getting to know the students, the city and its residents.
“Find what you want to do, create goals and use your resources,” he said.
These words are Coleman’s advice for the students of WF. He wants to make changes for the better in the education system. He said this is his calling in life.
Coleman is the youngest of three sisters in his family. His two favorite classes in high school were band and math. In fact, he once aspired to be a band director. He said he has always wanted to travel to Africa, not for the safaris or to help with charity but to find out the truth about Africa. He wants to find out the story of the “real Africa” not just the images and ideas portrayed in the media.
His top three role models consist of Les Brown and Dr. Steven Perry who are both motivational speakers, as well as Steve Harvey.
Overall, Coleman is just very happy to be here at WF and is looking forward to a great school year.
