Shamblen: making math positive and fun

Imagine walking into math class and having a fun math teacher who wants to make sure that you learn.

“I want to make a positive learning atmosphere” said Ron Shamblen.

Shamblen has been a teacher for five years and has come here to West Florence from South Florence.

“I want to make sure they practice daily,” Shamblen said about how he helps students learn better.

“If I could be anywhere right now I would want to be at the beach,” said Shamblen. His favorite hobbies are playing video games and playing soccer. In his spare time he likes to hang out with his wife.

Shamblen’s family is from Tampa, Florida and he has two brothers. His favorite food and drink are Mac and Cheese and Mountain Dew. He has two cats named Morpheus and Ivy.

Shamblen has loved West Florence so far and we hope to keep it that way because Shamblen is a great math teacher who creates a positive learning atmosphere in his classroom.
