Dale back at West!

“I was really good at math, so teaching seemed like a logical career choice,” said West Florence math teacher, Chris Dale about how he came to be a teacher.

Mr. Dale has been teaching school for 21 years and this year he started his second stint teaching at West Florence.

“I just wanted to give it another chance, and I thought this was a good time,” said Dale.

He enjoys engaging students and encouraging them to work together. He thinks patience, confidence, and a willingness to learn are qualities that make a great teacher. Making a difference in his students’ lives is the thing he likes most about teaching.

As an avid Gamecock fan, Dale graduated from the University of South Carolina where he played golf. He still enjoys playing golf; in fact he helps coach the WF girls’ golf team along with head Coach Chris Wegmann.

He enjoys watching sports, and hanging out with his family in his free time. It is easy to see why Caddyshack is his favorite movie. He thinks it is hilarious!

Mr. Dale and his wife have one son and two dogs.
