KnightNation gives back

Welcome to KnightNation where we’re big on helping out as much as we can in our community! We do whatever we can to help, whether we’re donating clothes, food,or just getting down and dirty with our hands, we’re always ready to help.

This year many of our clubs have completed several service projects. National Honor Society took part in four different projects; they started out with donating $100 to SNAC, and that left them in the giving spirit which pushed them to collect peanut butter for Harvest Hope, collect baby blankets and clothes for McLeod NICU, and collect Vienna sausages for Help 4 Kids.

“I think it's important to give back to the community so that we can help those in need," Tiffany Moore, NHS adviser.

But that's not all; on Nov. 28, PEARLS appeared at the Manna House and the House of Hope to serve both breakfast and lunch to the visitors. They even packed boxes for Operation Christmas Child. They will also be doing a Foster Care Closet where clothes will be donated to be given to a nearby foster home.

"We were placed here temporarily on an assignment from God. God granted us the gift of giving to all mankind; therefore giving back of service and love impacts the community. Give from your heart and expect nothing but blessings,” Lawanda Pendergrass, guidance counselor.

Both our girls and boys basketball team volunteered to ring the Salvation Army bell outside of Sams everytime a donation was given; this was an all day event.

Bible Club got together and made breakfast tubs for needy families in these tubs were foods like cereals, oatmeal, grits, bread, etc.

The French Club has also joined in on the giving festivities by setting up a Christmas tree in the main office. On this tree students can place, mittens, hats, and gloves to be given to the Saint Paul Church.

Leo Club made it fun for all by hosting a food drive competition; it was a contest between first block classes they also be collected toiletries, scarves, and nonperishables.

If you ever want to join in on any of these activities just ask. Knightnation is always looking for more help!
