Predictions for crazy NFL season
So far this has been a crazy National Football League season. These are my predictions for how the rest of the season will play out. I think that this season could continue to be one of the craziest ever.
My first set of predictions will be the awards for this NFL season.
I think that the MVP for the 2020 NFL season will be Seahawks Quarterback Russel Wilson. Wilson is a dual threat quarterback who is also an elite passer. He has had a great career and has been on fire since the season started. He has many weapons such as running back Chris Carson and receivers Tyler Lockette and D.K. Metcalf, who are huge helps for Wilson.
My defensive player of the year prediction is Browns defensive end Myles Garret. Garret was taken by Cleveland with the first overall pick in the 2017 NFL draft and he has definitely lived up to his potential. He has already recorded nine sacks through six games which already almost matches his sack total from last year which was ten.
Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert is my prediction for offensive rookie of the year. The Chargers selected Herbert with the number six pick in last year's draft and he has done nothing but impress. He wasn’t even slated to start at the beginning of the year, but an injury to Tyrod Taylor changed that. He has only started four games and he already has thrown for 1,542 yards. The Chargers may not be playing well, but they have to be happy with their future quarterback.
My last award prediction for the 2020 NFL season is defensive rookie of the year. This reward I have going to Bears cornerback Jaylon Johnson. Johnson was selected out of Utah in the second round of last year's draft. His stats don’t jump out to you but he has been nothing short of brilliant. Through his first five games of this season he allowed a 76.2 quarterback rating and a 44.7% completion rating.
These players I think will play good enough to earn these awards. They have already shown brilliance on the field and I think that they will continue to play at a high level.
My last set of predictions is the outcome of the playoffs.
In the NFC, I think that the Cowboys, Saints, Packers, and Seahawks will all win their divisions with the Buccaneers, 49ers, and Bears being the three wildcard teams. I think that Tom Brady and Russel Wilson will lead their teams to the NFC championship game where the Buccaneers and Seahawks will face off.
In the AFC, I think that the Bills, Titans, Steelers, and Chiefs will win their divisions with the Ravens, Colts, and Browns being the three wildcard teams. I think that the Steelers defense will be too dominant for their competition and arguably the best quarterback in the game, Patrick Mahomes will lead the Chiefs to the NFC championship.
In the AFC championship, I think we will witness one of the best games in NFL history where the league's best offense will face off against the league’s best defense. I think that it will be a showdown for the ages but the Steelers will pull out a last second win and head to the Super Bowl. In the NFC championship, I think that Seattle and Tampa Bay will put on a really good game but I think Russel Wilson and the Seahawks offense will be too much for the Buccaneer’s defense to handle.
In the Super Bowl I predict that the Seahawks and Steelers will put on an amazing game. The Steelers will jump out to an early lead but Russel Wilson and the Seahawks will come back to win the game. The final score will be 31-27 Seahawks.
I project that this will be one of the most entertaining playoffs ever and the Seahawks will come out on top with a much deserved victory.
These are my predictions for the rest of the 2020 NFL season. The NFL is important to so many people and an entertaining NFL season can put a smile on so many people’s faces. This has been a crazy NFL season, and I expect it to get even crazier.
