To Stoklosa, planning and team are key

Gym teacher Mandy Stoklosa has been teaching PE and Health for 16 years. Stoklosa came to WF from J.W Moore Middle School and before that she was teaching at Lucy T. Davis Elementary.

Stoklosa said her biggest inspiration professionally is her elementary PE teacher, Coach Kevin Allen; her dream is finish her teaching career at West Florence.

“I come from a family of Florence 1 teachers,” she said about why she went into education. In 20 years time, she said she sees herself retired and enjoying her life living near the beach.

Speaking of 20 years time, Stoklosa said she likes to plan ahead and if she could have any superpower, it would be to be able to see the future.

Stoklosa believes that the key to happiness is being surrounded by loved ones that make you laugh. She also believes in being a team player, a quality essential to teaching.

“Being a team player is willing to do anything for the better of the team,” she said.

West Florence is happy to have Amanda Stoklosa as one of its newest team players who helps be the change!
